Please join us for a drink and an opportunity to meet and have a Q&A session with Agnes Mattis and Cindy Romaine, the candidates for 2010 President Elect of SLA. The SLA-NY Chapter is holding its next 2009 Happy Hour on Thursday, July 30th, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at the Midtown Executive Club.
The "program" portion of the evening will begin promptly at 6:15 PM and run until about 7 PM. There will be brief candidate statements and then a chance for all present to ask Agnes and Cindy questions. So that we do not have to spend time introducing the candidates and we have more time for dialog with Agnes and Cindy, we would appreciate if you would please read their bios online in advance @ http://www.sla.org/content/SLA/governance/bodsection/can/09cand/.
The 2010 SLA President Elect will be President of the Association in 2011.
Happy Hours are a regular event the NY Chapter organizes to give members a chance to meet and chat. Prospective members, students, and colleagues also are welcome. There is no charge to attend. You will have an opportunity to introduce yourself to the group.

I am looking for your suggestions for event space nyc venue. Please suggest if you have any idea about venues in NYC. We are new here and not getting our desirable one.
