Members will have the opportunity to vote on the proposed slate of new officers for the Executive Board for 2009 and have a drink with colleagues. Since the SLA-NY Global Outreach Committee was started in 2001 by members Lois Weinstein and Lilleth Newby, proceeds from raffles have provided gift certificates for library supplies, or monetary contributions to libraries in developing nations. If you have a raffle prize you would like to donate, such as books, or tickets you are unable to use, please contact committee chair Rita Ormsby, rita.ormsby@baruch.cuny.edu. If you would like to help with this committee, Rita will be happy to hear from you.
