CE, Private Equity Research: Tools of the Trade

SLA-NY invites you to attend a Continuing Education Opportunity in New York City.

Clifford Perry, Warburg Pincus LLC, will present his popular CE, Private Equity Research: Tools of the Trade.

Previous attendees praised the course as "One of the best sessions I have attended!" and an "Excellent, well-designed course"

Private Equity (PE) and Venture Capital (VC) play a fundamental role in providing capital to companies throughout their various stages of development. Finding information on PE and VC firms along with their investments is quite difficult given the lack of public disclosure requirements. This course will explore the inner workings and key terms of the industry along with an examination of the various data sources used to gather information on this sector on a global basis.

Private equity investments occur in almost every industry (i.e., IT, Telecom, Healthcare, Media, Entertainment, Energy, Consumer Products & Services, Retail etc.). This course will interest researchers not only in the aforementioned industries, but also those in the legal and financial (consulting, investment bank and insurance) sectors.

Two chances to attend:

Wednesday July 23rd 1-5 PM (RSVP by July 18th)

Thursday July 31st 5-9 PM (RSVP by July 25th)

This four-hour course is being offered by the New York Chapter for $280 (SLA member), $325 (non-member).

RSVPs and questions should be directed to Miguel Figueroa at miguel.a.figueroa@gmail.com.

RSVPs must be received by the Friday before the date of the scheduled course. Payment must be made by check payable to SLA New York or via Paypal. Instructions for payment and details for attendance will be provided upon receipt of RSVP.

Both sessions take place at Warburg Pincus LLC New York, 466 Lexington Ave (between 45th and 46th Streets). Light refreshments will be provided.

The course was popular at SLA's 2008 Conference in Seattle and in New York City last year. Register early to guarantee a place for this exciting opportunity for professional development.
